Clay and Friends first met Pierre Kwenders live on the air with millions of people watching during their performance at the 2023 ADISQ Grand Gala – a real trial by fire.
Something clicked because their next stop turned out to be in the universe of the Congolese-born artist. This Montreal-esque collaboration explores the universal soundscape of "positive" music, the kind of sound that makes your worries dissipate and puts things into perspective with a one-two step.
Their latest joint-effort "Good Problem" shines a light on the contractions that keep any relationship alive. The Pierre Kwenders touch, sung in Lingala, will transport you to the heart of modern African music, in a new blend put together by Clay and Friends.

Une première rencontre en direct lors d’une performance au grand Gala de l’ADISQ 2023 devant plus d’un million de téléspectateurs - c’est ce qu’on appelle un baptême de feu, ou comme le veut ce dicton qu’on affectionne particulièrement : « Parfois, la vie fait bien les choses ».
Un déclic s’est produit alors que la musique populaire de Verdun fait escale dans l’univers de l’artiste congolais d’origine; Pierre Kwenders, pour une nouvelle collaboration montréalaise en toute élégance. Une rencontre entre deux mondes explorant les contours universels de la musique dite positive, celle qui fait disparaître les soucis et remet les choses en perspective en deux temps, trois mouvements.
Le single Good Problem met en lumière les contradictions qui font vivre une relation. La touche de Pierre Kwenders, chantée en lingala, vous transportera au cœur de la musique africaine moderne, dans une nouvelle mouture musicale signée Clay and Friends.
